I'm guessing that what you really mean to say is- "Why is non compliance with vaccination such a hot button issue with liberals?" My answer to that if the assumption is correct is- they don't want their kids getting sick with serious diseases from the denier kids.

Yeah... I know... "do it for the children", blah, blah, blah.

I'm confused.  Other than Jehovah's Witnesses, most of the refusenicks I see seem to be liberals.  Am I wrong?

The King. J Cash. Carl Perkins. Jerry Lee...

The drummer, lead guitar, bass, and piano guys in the Orbison concert are all from Elvis's TCB Band...

Make me want to be a liberal, please.  Show me something there to appreciate and why I should adopt it as a world view, and why I should vote liberal.  I'll read and consider.

It's for the children!

Obama is not an idiot, although he has engaged in idiotic actions.  He is a very smart idealogue who came into office clearly announcing his intentions to "transform America."

The concern is that he isn't done yet.  And there is no motivation for him to proceed with any caution at all.  It is going to be a long 10 months.

It will take years to reverse all his America-killing actions.  People committed to his misbegotten policies are buried deep into the bureaucracy and will tenaciously resist being rooted out.  Some will be protected by Civil Service rules.  The IRS is only one small example.  The DOJ is another.  EPA, Department of Energy, and on and on.  We can only hope the Senate remains firm on the next SC Justice.

I wonder - is this what the summer and fall will look like with a GOP nominee Trump?

Chances are good it will happen regardless of who the nominee is.

I don't think Chicago thugs need any help from Soros to engage in destruction.

RKBA doesn't require someone to treat you, or pay for your healthcare.  Bernie's healthcare "right" requires someone to lose something so can have that "right."

That's a good point.  Applying Bernie's position to the 2nd, the government would be required to buy you a gun with your neighbor's money.

This is a simple thing.  The US spends more per capita on medical care than any of the industrialized nation.  Yet we still see poorer outcomes nearly across the board.  We spending more and getting less.  I don't care if the cat is black or white, I only care if it catches mice.

I don't accept the premise.  Other countries measure "outcomes" differently.  And in the U.S. we attempt to save some people that other countries would only let die.

I don't want Canadian-style waiting lists for an MRI or Cat Scan.

You have a great example of government health care:  just look at the VA.

I'm not old enough to know much about Hillary from her days as a senator. Or anything about her time as First Lady. I didn't pay much attention to politics until I was in high school, about 10 years ago.

Since you missed out on the fun of the 1990s, here's a good summary of the Clinton scandals.

No sure what section to put this in, but since this had me flying, I put it here.  James Burton and Bruce Springsteen, at Roy Orbison Concert.  A Classic...

We want their oil and we don't care what it takes to get it.

Hogwash.

We have more domestic oil reserves than all the countries over there combined.  It just takes the will to extract it, and drill, baby, drill.

Which Obama has done his best to prevent.

Not to mention his war on coal.

Bottom line:  It is riskier to avoid them than to take them.

So far I've been called a parasite on this board because of my chosen profession (which in an ironic twist I chose for its altruistic elements).  i can only imagine the invective when i say that I very, very grudgingly support her for POTUS.

Liberal Profs are a convenient whipping-boy for us conservatives.  I think some folks may have been too hard on you.

You have laid out a very cogent list of Hillary's shortcomings, yet you still (very grudgingly) plan to vote for her.  I just find this sad.

She's a congenital liar and a power- hungry megalomaniac.  She does not have what it takes to be Commander-in-chief.
